You should also stop by the Cinnamon Gardens, an old cinnamon plantation that has now been incorporated into the city. Slave Island, which is not actually an island, was named as such because it was the location of the slave trade in the area is another interesting historical location. It’s a little further out from the port so you might need to get a rickshaw but if you’re interested in history, it’s definitely worth visiting. The Galapagos Islands
