What to Pack for your FIRST 2 berth Caravan Trip: So you’ve booked to go on a caravan camping trip for the first time. Perhaps you and your partner have just purchased a new 2 berth caravan to set off for a weekend getaway. From experience, I expect you’re lost about what to pack and what not to pack. Luckily for you, I’ve come up with a list of things that I recommend you to pack on your first camping trip.
What should you bring?
- Games
After a full day of exploring the outdoors, games are perfect for a fun night in. You could bring scrabble, monopoly or even just a set of cards and you would be set for the night. Be sure to pack snacks and your favourite drinks to feel even more relaxed in your mini home. A good idea is to download your favourite movies or TV series that you can watch to add to your cosy night in. Sounds perfect, right?
- Food
In my opinion, no holiday is complete unless you’re enjoying all of your favourite foods. Caravan camping is all about al fresco dining, and I suggest that you bring a reusable barbecue and matches to complete your outdoor cooking experience. You could even bring a bottle of wine for the wine cabinet which is included in your 2 berth caravan. If this doesn’t appeal to you then simply bring easy to cook meals like pasta, which will make your mealtime stress free. A cool box is always a good idea, you can head out on a day of exploring with ice-cold drinks in tow. What more could you possibly want?
- Outdoor seating
Fold-away chairs and tables are ideal for a camping trip. They are perfect for when you choose to dine outdoors as they hardly take up any space and they can be easily packed up whenever you want.
- Clothing
The clothes you’ll need to pack are all dependant on where it is your travelling to. The changeable British weather means that you’ll probably need to pack cosy jumpers and wellington boots, comfortable shoes are key if your planning on exploring! There’s plenty of space in a 2 berth caravan so over packing isn’t an issue.
- First aid kit
Be sure to bring some first aid essentials like plasters, sun-cream, insect repellent and painkillers. After all, you don’t know what life is going to throw at you so be prepared.
Every camping trip is different so pack whatever it is you want to bring. Have fun and enjoy every single second of your caravan camping experience.
